Salute to Dan Marty

L.A. Shopkeeper and Interior Designer extraordinaire, Dan Marty, was featured in the May issue of House Beautiful. It is a beautiful feature showcasing Dan Marty's L.A. Tuscan style villa apartment, exquisitely decorated and photographed. Some items in the home can be found at his shop in West Hollywood, Maison Au Naturel. I love his style. This bedroom photo gets me. I have been eyeing that rug (if it is the exact same one, I believe it is from Ikea) for a few years now, but have worried about how much attention it would draw in a space. It really works in this space. I think because it is balanced by the exposed beams on the ceiling. This would not work in a room with very little texture to ground it.
